Wound down, 2026

Sairgent is winding down.

Nous Research's Hermes shipped the same architecture with more runway. The repo is now public and archived; this site stays up as the record.

Sairgent set out to be a governed agentic operating system, hierarchical delegation, durable work orders, persistent memory, an audit trail you could actually trust. Months of work went into the substrate.

A couple of weeks back, Nous Research released Hermes. Same primitive: a SQLite-backed Kanban store, profiles standing in for team members, durable task records moving through state. Different vocabulary, same shape, and shipped further than I had, with a funded research team behind it. Two builders converging on the same data model is not coincidence. It is the data model being correct.

Continuing would be paying a sunk-cost tax to ship a second-best version of an idea the market is now being served. The harness is closed. The lessons are kept. The next bet gets a paying customer before it gets a backend.

If you came here looking for a multi-agent platform

Try Hermes. It is, in plain terms, the thing I would have built if I had their team and their runway.

The Sairgent repo is public, archived, read-only. No issues, no PRs, no support, fork freely. The product page is preserved as a record of what was built.

Onward. — Dave
